ANISE BISCUITS 
1 stick butter, no butter
1 c. sugar
1 sm. bottle Anise extract (1 oz.)
2 tbsp. baking powder
4 eggs
2 1/4 c. Gold Medal "Wondra" flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mash sugar and butter together with fork, put in Anise Extract mix again, add baking powder and mix. Add the eggs and mix until well blended, then add the flour and mix until all flour is blended in. You will get a sticky batter. Divide dough in half on 2 cookie sheets. Shape like a large egg and smooth evenly with a spoon to less than a 1/2 inch thickness. Bake at 350 degrees until a light golden brown 20 to 25 minutes. Cut through the middle lengthwise, then in 1 inch widths turn on side and bake another 10 to 15 minutes. Bake 1 sheet at a time. Should yield about 44 biscuits. For less cut recipe in half.
