BISCUIT BREAD STICKS
1/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk

Heat oven to 450 degrees. In 9x9x2 inch square pan, melt butter in oven. Remove pan from oven.

Measure flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into bowl. Add milk; stir until dough forms, about 30 strokes. Turn dough onto well-floured board. Roll dough around to coat with flour. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll into 8-inch square.

With floured knife, cut dough in half, then cut each half into 9 (4 inch) strips. Dip each strip into melted butter, coating both sides; arrange strips close together in 2 rows in pan. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Really great recipe! I used it as a base for my Parmesan Biscuit Sticks, using buttermilk instead of milk, and adding Parmesan and garlic salt to the melted butter. They disappeared in 5 minutes! Thanks!
