ORANGE POP CHICKEN
8 or 10 pieces raw skinned chicken (frying size)
5 to 6 shakes soy sauce (reg. is fine)
1 can diet orange pop (the cheapest kind is fine)

Place chicken in a non-stick frying pan. Pour the can of pop over the chicken. Shake soy sauce from the bottle over the chicken. Cover with a non-tight lid (steam needs to escape while cooking). Begin with medium high heat; after starting to boil, turn heat down to a good simmer. After cooking about 30 minutes, check to see that all liquid is not boiled away before the chicken is tender. Probably will need to cook an additional 15 minutes. Chicken will "brown" some as the liquid boils away.

The pieces of chicken do not need to be turned as cooking, unless you wish. (The broth is good, if you do not want to let it all boil up.) To cook half as much chicken with half a can of pop does fine. This is an old Weight Watchers recipe.
