HOT WATER CORN BREAD 
Use plain meal or fresh ground meal.

2 c. of meal
Salt and pepper to taste

(I taste the meal to see if it has enough salt before I add water or cook it.) Add rapidly boiling water to seasoned meal until it makes a consistency of mashed potatoes.

In an iron skillet heat oil very hot. Drop a small spoonful of meal mixture into oil. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot with beans, green beans or a chef salad.
