MAMA'S CARROT PUDDING AND SAUCE 
1 c. grated carrots
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. grated potatoes
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped raisins
2 tbsp. butter

Mix carrot, potatoes, raisins, nuts, and butter. Sift together other ingredients. Mix well. Grease steamer pan or double boiler. Cook 3 hours.

SAUCE:

1 c. cream (whipping or half and half)
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. flour

Melt together the butter and flour; add cream and sugar. Cook until thickened.
