LYNDON JOHNSON'S BARBECUED
SPARERIBS
 
5 - 6 l. spareribs, cut into 2 inch single pieces
Salt and pepper to taste
1 c. catsup
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. onions, minced
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. mustard
1/4 c. Tabasco sauce

Dust ribs with salt and pepper. Put in a pot. Add water to cover. Simmer 1 hour. Combine remaining ingredients in a pot; simmer 5 minutes. Drain ribs. Brush with sauce. Grill 6 inches above charcoal, 10 minutes on each side. Serves 4 to 6.
