CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS 
1 chicken, boiled and deboned (use leftover necks the stock is just as good)
Pot of chicken stock
Pepper to taste

DUMPLINGS:

1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. shortening
Pinch of salt
1/4 c. milk

Mix dumpling ingredients in a bowl. Roll out paper thin with rolling pin and cut in rectangular strips. Drop in boiling stock one by one. Cook about 20 minutes.

This is my great grandmother's recipe passed down. It is super easy, economical, and scrumptious.
