LAYERED GREEN SALAD 
Chopped lettuce
Celery
Onion
Carrots, shredded or sliced thin
Cucumber
2 c. mayonnaise
4 tbsp. sugar
4 hard boiled eggs, sliced
1 box frozen peas, thawed at room temperature
1 lb. bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled
1 lg. extra sharp cheese, shredded

I use a 2 quart Pyrex glass oblong dish. Layer lettuce, celery, onion, carrots, and cucumber. Mix mayonnaise and sugar, which has been chilled overnight, this goes over the vegetables. Top with eggs, peas, bacon, and then cheese.
