OATMEAL - CHOCOLATE CHIP
BROWNIES
 
1 1/3 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oats
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Grease and flour a 13 x 9 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour boiling water over oats and let stand 10 minutes. Add sugar and butter to oats; stir until butter melts. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour mixed with soda, salt, and cocoa to oat mixture. Add half the chocolate chips and 1/2 cup pecans.

Pour into pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and pecans on top of cake. Bake 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
