MINCEMEAT 
4 c. cooked meat (beef or venison)
8 c. sliced apples
3/4 c. suet, optional

Grind above. 1 1/2 c. molasses 3 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. white sugar 2 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. cloves, ground 1/2 tbsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. lemon peel 1 1/2 oz. candied citron 1 c. vinegar Apple juice for liquid

Combine in a heavy pot. Simmer until thick and tasty. Makes 4 1/2 quarts. This freezes well.
