CHICKEN IN RED SAUCE 
1 frying chicken, cut up
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Pepper to taste
Garlic salt to taste
1/2 to 3/4 c. water
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed

Spray large frying pan with Pam. Season chicken with garlic salt and pepper. Brown chicken. Pour off fat. In measuring cup with 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup water, add tomato sauce, seasonings and stir. Pour over chicken. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Baste chicken every 15 minutes and before serving. Serve with rice.

NOTE: Chicken in red sauce is quick and easy and kids love it. In our family both parents work - this recipe is well used.
