BREAKFAST HEALTH BARS 
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. chunk-style peanut butter
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. chunk-style applesauce
1 1/4 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1/4 c. toasted wheat germ

Combine flour and baking soda. In mixer bowl, beat peanut butter and butter on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar and vanilla. Beat well. Add eggs, one at a time. Stir in chunk-style applesauce. Add the flour mixture to beaten mixture, stirring until well blended. Stir in the rolled oats and wheat germ. Turn batter into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars. Makes 8 (2 each) servings.
