RAISIN-NUT OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. raisins
7/8 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts

In mixing bowl blend sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Beat on medium speed until mixture is smooth. Combine flour, oats and baking soda. Add to egg mixture. Mix well. Blend in raisins and nuts. Roll into balls the size of a walnut. Put on greased baking sheet. Press with a small glass dipped in sugar. Bake in 350 degree oven until lightly browned, about 12 minutes. If you like, the raisins may be coarsely chopped before being added.
