MATRIMONIAL BARS 
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 jar raspberry jam

Cream butter. Add sugar. Stir in flour. Blend in oats. Press half dough into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Spread with jam. Crumble remaining dough over top. Pat lightly to cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cut in 2 x 1 inch bars. Remove from pan.
