JAM BARS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. butter
1 c. jam (apricot or raspberry works well)

Mix flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and oatmeal together. Work butter in with fingers until crumbly. Pat 2/3 of this into a 13 x 9 1/2 x 2 inch pan. Spread jam evenly over this crust.

Cover with remaining crumbs and press lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Cool 15 minutes and run a knife around the edge and cut into bars. Cool completely before removing bars, about 32 bars.
