1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. maraschino cherries
1 c. walnuts

Blend cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs. Mix well. Add 2 cups flour and powder.

Combine 1/4 cup flour with fruit, add nuts and mix with other ingredients. Grease tube pan or loaf pan. Tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes, small loaf pan 1 hour and 5 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
