SOFT OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. raisins

Place in saucepan, cover with water. Cook until plump, drain, reserving 9 tablespoons liquid. 1 tsp. baking soda

Stir into warm raisin juice and cool. 1 tsp. vanilla

Beat into cooled liquid. 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 c. flour 2 c. oatmeal

Mix dry ingredients together in large bowl. Mix raisins into dry ingredients. Pour raisin juice mixture into dry ingredients and mix as you would meatloaf. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
