BREAKFAST PIZZA | |
2 c. Robin Hood all-purpose flour 1 tbsp. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. shortening 3/4 c. milk TOPPING: 1/2 c. milk 1 tbsp. firmly chopped onion 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves 1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Brown 'n Serve sausage links, thinly sliced Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl, cut in shortening with pastry blender until dough leaves side of bowl; dough will be soft and sticky. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Press dough with floured hands on bottom and up sides of greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Bake in 425 degrees oven for 10 minutes. TOPPING: Beat onion, milk, salt, and eggs in small bowl. Stir in cheese, spread over dough. Arrange sausages on top. Sprinkle oregano. Bake in 425 degree oven until set, about 25 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Makes 6 to 8 servings. |
