1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 lg. bag Oreo cookies
1 stick butter
1 can chocolate frosting, melted
1 c. crushed peanuts
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1/2 c. caramel topping (optional)

Layer:

1. Crush Oreo cookies and melt butter. Mix these together, reserving 1 cup of cookie mixture. Spread remainder in the bottom of a cake pan.

2. Spread frosting on cookie mixture.

3. 1 cup of peanuts on next.

4. Divide ice cream and arrange on top.

5. Spread Cool Whip on ice cream.

6. Sprinkle remaining cookie mixture on top.
