TOLL HOUSE COOKIES 
1 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
2 tsp. baking soda mixed with 4 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 lg. bag chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. white sugar
4 lg. eggs, well beaten
2 tsp. hot water
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 tsp. vanilla extract

In large mixing bowl, cream butter, gradually add white sugar; cream. Add light brown sugar when thoroughly creamed. Add well beaten eggs, then 2 teaspoons hot water from faucet. Add flour, a little at a time, add nuts and chocolate bits. Last, vanilla extract. Mix with your hands, it goes faster. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 10 to 12 minutes.
