GHIRARDELLI AWARD WINNING BROWNIES | |
One of the best brownie recipes ever was on the back of the Ghirardelli chocolate can! 2 eggs 3/4 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted 3/4 cup Ghirardelli ground sweet chocolate 2/3 cup unsifted all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped 1 cup Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chips (optional) Note: Use regular or semi-sweet chocolate chips if you can't find the Ghirardelli 60% Cacao bittersweet chips. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8-inch or 9x9-inch baking pan In a medium bowl, stir together eggs, sugar and vanilla. Add melted butter and mix well. In another bowl, sift together ground chocolate, flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into the egg mixture and add nuts and/or chips. Spread into prepared baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Tip: Use an 8-inch pan for chewy brownies or an 9-inch pan for drier brownies. Submitted by: Rusty Barton |
