OVERNIGHT FRENCH TOAST | |
8 eggs 1 1/2 c. half and half 2 tsp. vanilla 1 loaf sliced French bread 1/2 c. melted butter 3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1/2 c maple syrup 3/4 c. chopped pecans Blend eggs, half and half and vanilla and pour into 9 x 13 inch pan. Place French bread in pan (may need to divide egg mixture into two pans, depending on thickness of bread slices). Cover and refrigerate overnight. In greased 9 x 13 inch pan, blend melted butter, brown sugar, syrup and pecans. Place bread slices on top of this mixture and pour any remaining egg mixture over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. One of our family favorites on holiday mornings! |
