MRS. S.'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 med. eggs
1 c. boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda (packed hard) or 2 tsp. if not packed hard
2 c. cake flour (can use regular flour)
1 stick butter
3/4 c. sour cream
3 sq. bittersweet chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat whites of eggs in a small bowl and set aside. Boil the cup of water and turn fire out and put chocolate and then butter in the water. Let this cool. Put baking soda in sour cream and mix to dissolve.

Put the above, all but the whites of eggs, together with 2 egg yolks and sugar and flour. Add vanilla and beat real good. Then fold in egg whites. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
