TACO PIE 
1 (9") deep dish pie crust
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
1 (8 oz.) taco sauce or salsa
12 tortilla chips, crushed
Chopped tomato
1 lb. ground beef
1 1/4 pkg. Old El Paso taco seasoning
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Shredded lettuce

Heat oven and 1 cookie sheet to 400 degrees. Prick side and bottom of crust. Bake on heated cookie sheet 10 minutes. Remove crust from oven and reduce heat to 350 degrees. Cook ground beef and onion until meat is brown; drain fat. Add Old El Paso taco seasoning. Mix according to package directions.

In small bowl, mix refried beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce; mix well. Layer 1/2 of bean mixture in pie crust; top with half of meat mixture, then 1 cup cheese and all of the crushed chips. Repeat the layers of beans, meat and cheese. Bake on heated cookie sheet 20-25 minutes. Top with the 2/3 cup taco sauce and lettuce and tomato.
