LASAGNA | |
2 lbs. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 3 tsp. oregano 3 tsp. Italian seasoning 2 tsp. garlic salt 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 3/4 c. minced parsley 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste 4 tomato paste cans water 1 ball Mozzarella cheese 2 c. sm. curd cottage cheese 1 box lasagna noodles Combine ground beef, onion, seasonings, and 1/2 cup parsley in skillet. Cook until ground beef is brown, stirring frequently. Add tomato paste and water; simmer for 2 to 3 hours or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Shred cheese. Combine with cottage cheese and remaining 1/4 cup parsley. Cook noodles according to package directions; rinse well. Spoon layer of tomato sauce in 10 or 13 inch square baking dish. Add thin layer of cheese mixture. Top with layer of noodles. Continue layers, ending with cheese mixture. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until heated through. (May be prepared in 2 baking dishes, one may be frozen for later use.) |
