KAY'S COCOA BROWNIES 
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. soft butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Grease 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, measure; resift 3 times with next 3 ingredients. Add butter, eggs, and vanilla. Use wooden spoon and beat 100 strokes per minute for 3 minutes. (Do not use electric mixer.) Stir in nuts until just distributed. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until just done, cool in pan on cake rack; then cut. Makes 16 (2 inch) brownies.
