1 2/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, melted
2 tbsp. water
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flour
3/4 c. Nestle Toll House baking cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Stir together sugar, butter and water in bowl. Stir in eggs; stir in vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 18 to 20 minutes until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out slightly sticky. Cool in pan.
