1 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter, softened
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. cherry chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugar, egg, butter and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
