CORN BREAD OR MUFFINS 
1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 egg
Buttermilk

Mix well, adding enough buttermilk to make right consistency. Bake in 8-inch iron frying pan at 425 degrees for 25 minutes until brown. Makes 1 dozen muffins in muffin pan.
