PEANUT BUTTER CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Cream together first 3 ingredients. Add vanilla, add eggs, 1 at a time. Beat after each egg. Alternately add milk and flour. Arrange so that you start with flour and end with flour. Bake in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 stick or 1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all ingredients and mix.
