MOM'S ALABAMA BISCUITS
1 c. warm water
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. melted butter or shortening
Self-rising flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water and place in large bowl. Add sugar and shortening and mix. Add enough flour to make a soft dough.

Melt 1/4 cup butter in bread pan. Cut out biscuits and dip each in melted butter and place biscuits in same bread pan. (Sometimes Mom folds biscuits over to give them the look or a roll.) Let rise in warm place for 15 minutes. Bake in 450 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
