4 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo
1 c. water
3 egg whites
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped nuts

Cook sugar, water and Karo, slowly, until mixture will be brittle and crack when dropped in a cup of cold water. Remove from heat and pour slowly over 3 stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly; when beaten until creamy and beginning to cool stir in vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto wax paper.
