MEXICAN WEDDING COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/4 c. flour
1 pt. jar maraschino cherries

Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar, extract and flour. Drop level tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheet. Press 1/2 drained maraschino cherry in center of each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Do not over bake.
