MAMA'S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
7 eggs, separated
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 qt. milk
3 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Beat egg yolks and cornstarch together. In top of double boiler, heat 1 1/2 quart milk, add yolk mixture, stir to mix well. Let cool. Beat egg whites, set aside. Add sugar, vanilla and whipping cream to cooled yolk mixture. Pour into freezer container, add beaten egg whites and remainder of milk. Stir gently to blend. Follow freezer directions to freeze. A big family favorite.
