APPLE PIE 
Pastry for 9 inch pie pan
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
6 c. sliced pared apples
2 tbsp. butter

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Line pie pan with pastry. Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt; mix with apples. Pour into pie pan; dot with butter. Cover with pastry; seal, flute, and cut slits on top of pastry. Cover edges with foil. Bake 20 minutes and reduce oven to 350 degrees. Bake another 20-30 minutes or until done. Remove foil the last 15 minutes to allow browning.
