FUNNEL CAKES 
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
Oil
Confectioners' sugar

Stir together dry ingredients. Mix egg and milk. Add to flour mixture. Stir until smooth. Pour oil in deep skillet; heat. Hold finger over end of funnel, pour 1/4 cup batter into funnel. Place over hot oil, then remove finger, let batter flow. As batter flows, move funnel in circle. Fry, turning once. Drain. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
