1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste 2 c. water 2 tsp. salt 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1 c. grated Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 1/2 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. Italian seasonings 9 noodles (Mueller) In large heavy pan brown onion, beef, oil, tomatoes (put through blender or cut with edge of spoon), paste, water, parsley, salt, garlic powder, pepper, oregano, basil, and seasonings. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cook lasagna noodles as directed; drain. In 13 x 9 baking pan spread about 1 cup of sauce, then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, ending with sauce, Mozzarella, and Parmesan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Allow 15 minutes to cool off before cutting. |
