GREEN BEAN AND POTATO CASSEROLE | |
1 1/2 c. canned green beans 1 c. diced cooked potatoes 1/2 c. diced celery 4 slices bacon 2 tbsp. chopped onion 1 tbsp. bacon drippings 1 tbsp. flour 1 c. can milk 1 c. American cheese Combine green beans, cooked potatoes and celery in 1 quart casserole. Fry 4 slices of bacon, drain and crumble over green beans. Saute 2 tablespoons onion in 1 tablespoon bacon drippings. Stir in 1 tablespoon flour. Add 1 cup can milk. Cook until thick and smooth. Add 1 cup cheese. Stir until melted. Pour over vegetables. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. |
