PICADILLO 
1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 c. onion, sliced
2 c. ground beef (1/2 lb.)
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. water
3 crushed garlic cloves
1/3 c. sliced tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
2 diced potatoes

Brown garlic in hot oil and stir in onion and tomatoes for 3 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until brown. Season with salt and pepper. Add water. Come and let boil for 10 minutes. Taste and season if needed. Add in potato and cook until done.

Serves 5.

Note: Sliced green beans or cabbage may be cooked in place of potatoes. Use raisins.
