MOM'S CRAB IMPERIAL | |
4 tbsp. butter 4 tbsp. flour 2 c. milk 1 tsp. celery salt Dash of cayenne 1 egg yolk, beaten 2 tbsp. sherry 1 c. soft bread crumbs 1 lb. crab meat 1 tsp. minced parsley 1 tsp. minced onion 1/4 c. buttered toasted crumbs Paprika Melt butter. Add flour and blend. Gradually add milk and seasonings. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick. Gradually add egg yolk and sherry, soft bread crumbs, crab meat, parsley and onion. Gently mix and pour into well greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with buttered crumbs and sprinkle with paprika. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 6. |
