CHICKEN PIE 
1 lg. hen (fat fryer) cooked, boned, and diced
6 c. pastry flour or 5 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. buttermilk
2 c. lard
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Chicken broth

To make the crust, mix the flour, buttermilk, lard, salt, baking powder and soda. Roll thin as pie crust and shape as you desire for the crust. Place chicken on crust, cover with crust, pour broth around pies (or on chicken between crusts). Bake quickly in a 500 degree oven.
