ANN'S SHRIMP PILAU 
1/2 c. chopped onion
4 strips bacon
2 tsp. minced garlic
1 c. uncooked rice
2 c. water
1 c. tomato sauce
1 lb. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
Salt to taste
Hot sauce to taste

Cook bacon until crisp, remove from pan and set aside. Add to bacon drippings, onions, garlic and rice. Stir and cook until rice is brown. Add tomatoes and water, salt and hot sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium and add shrimp and crumbled bacon. Cover and simmer 30 to 45 minutes. Serves 6-8.
