STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS 
12 to 15 lg. cabbage leaves
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. cooked rice
1/2 c. chopped onion or minced onion
1 egg
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. sugar
Water
1 sm. can sauerkraut

Put meat, rice, salt, pepper, onions, egg and thyme together and mix in a bowl. Take half tomato sauce with lemon juice and sugar; mix into the mixture. Place mixture into cabbage leaf, roll and fasten with toothpick.

Place cabbage rolls into large sauce pot. Pour rest of tomato sauce over and cover the cabbage rolls with sauerkraut. Add water to cover the rolls. Simmer 1 to 2 hour.
