BUTTER PECAN TURTLE COOKIES 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. softened butter

CARAMEL LAYER:

2/3 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. whole pecan halves
1 c. milk chocolate chips

Mix crust and pat firmly into ungreased 13"x9"x2" pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.

To prepare caramel layer, cook brown sugar and butter, stirring constantly until entire mixture begins to boil. Beat 1/2 to 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour evenly over pecans and crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let melt 2 or 3 minutes then swirl some of them.
