BARBECUED MEATBALLS | |
MEATBALLS: 3 lbs. ground beef 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk 1 c. oatmeal 1 c. cracker crumbs 2 eggs 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tsp. chili powder SAUCE: 2 c. catsup 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 c. onion, chopped Combine all meatballs ingredients (will be soft). Shape into walnut-size balls. Place in single layer on wax paper-lined cookie sheets. Freeze until solid. Store in freezer bags until ready to cook. Combine all sauce ingredients. Stir until sugar dissolves. Place frozen meatballs in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Pour on sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Yield: 80 meatballs. |
