This is the recipe my Mother used...didn't put crackers on top, homemade yeast bread and butter! The best ever. I love this recipe. I hadn't thought about it in years and now believe I will make it for my children. Thank-you!

This is similar to my Mom's potato soup. When my children were small, I began adding finely chopped carrots and celery for added nutrition. Fresh thyme and a bit of sage are good, too. At our home this soup is served with corn bread. The best!

This is so much like mine but I add a can of chicken broth and use evaporated milk. We all just love it. I have made it with shredded hash browns if I want some real quick.

This is my favorite soup, however I have always thickened mine with a little flour, for a creamy texture. This soup is also vey good with some crumbled bacon on top!

I just made this soup. I had a ton of extra potatoes and I didn't want them to go to waste. It's a little thin (probably because I added skim milk to keep the fat down), but it has really good taste. I love pepper, so I added lots! I also read some other suggestions and added some ham. I'll test it out later with some bacon :) I also used chicken broth instead of water to add some extra flavor. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Just a suggestion. When I make potoato soup, insted of using milk I use a sauce called Aunt Pennys White sauce. It gives a much smoother texture. Norm.

Love this recipe! My husband and kids loved it. I added some browned sausage meat and that made it a whole meal. You will love this recipe, super fast and easy.

This is the easiest and tastiest soup. I just got my wisdom teeth out and am fed up of mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and soup in general. So, I wasn't too optimistic about potato soup but this is awesome!!
