Yum...it is a great base for anything you have in the fridge. I added freshly grated parmesan, some instant chicken boullion powder, basil, and then on a whim, added some fresh mushrooms and decided to stick my hand blender in there (mostly so the kids didn't know they were in there!). It is very yummy!

I used instant mashed potatoes in the end to thicken it up a little.....

This was VERY close to the potato soup from Outback Steakhouse. I used evaporated milk, thyme and sage. The cheese and bacon bits added the finishing touch. My son liked it just as much. Mmmmm!I will continue to make it.

This recipe was very easy. I cooked potatoes and chopped onion for 20 mins on high heat till pototoes were tender. I drained out a little more than half the water. In a small mixing bowl I poured milk and 1/2 c. or less cornstarch until mixed throughly. Poured that mixture in the pot and added bacon bits, brocolli, corn, fajatia seasoning, hamburger seasoning, seasoned salt, worschester sauce, and liquid smoke. I omitted butter. then topped with shredded cheddar. So good :)

This is the easiest and tastiest soup. I just got my wisdom teeth out and am fed up of mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and soup in general. So, I wasn't too optimistic about potato soup but this is awesome!!

Love this recipe! My husband and kids loved it. I added some browned sausage meat and that made it a whole meal. You will love this recipe, super fast and easy.

Just a suggestion. When I make potoato soup, insted of using milk I use a sauce called Aunt Pennys White sauce. It gives a much smoother texture. Norm.

I just made this soup. I had a ton of extra potatoes and I didn't want them to go to waste. It's a little thin (probably because I added skim milk to keep the fat down), but it has really good taste. I love pepper, so I added lots! I also read some other suggestions and added some ham. I'll test it out later with some bacon :) I also used chicken broth instead of water to add some extra flavor. Thanks for the recipe!!!

This is my favorite soup, however I have always thickened mine with a little flour, for a creamy texture. This soup is also vey good with some crumbled bacon on top!

This is so much like mine but I add a can of chicken broth and use evaporated milk. We all just love it. I have made it with shredded hash browns if I want some real quick.
