MICROWAVE HOISIN SAUCE PORK WITH
CASHEWS
 
1 lb. lean pork cut into 1/2" cubes
4 tbsp. hoisin sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ginger root, scant
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. sherry
1/4 lb. mushrooms, quartered
1 tbsp. sesame oil
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. cashew nuts
1/2 c. sliced water chestnuts
1 c. Chinese pea pods

Place first 11 ingredients in a 2 quart container suitable for microwave cooking and mix thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap and cook in microwave oven on high for 6 minutes. Stir well. Add nuts, water chestnuts and pea pods. Cook 3 more minutes. Serve over rice.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
