PLOMEEK CHOWDER
1" thick slice of salt pork fat
1 sliced onion
4 potatoes, cut in 1/2" slices (I cube them & add more potatoes)
2 c. boiling water
2 c. canned or fresh corn cut from cobs (frozen can be used)
1 qt. milk
Salt & pepper

Cut pork into small pieces and fry over low heat in skillet. When pork bits are brown and dry, remove them. (They may be saved and sprinkled on top of chowder before serving.) Add sliced onion to fat and brown lightly. Then add potatoes and boiling water, and cook until potatoes are soft. Add milk and corn. Heat to boiling point. Season with salt and pepper.
