FRENCH FRIED SHRIMP 
2 lb. unpeeled med. size fresh shrimp
1 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
Vegetable oil
Zippy cocktail sauce

Peel and devein shrimp. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; make a well in center. Combine water, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon oil, and egg; add to dry ingredients, and stir until batter is smooth. Dip shrimp in batter, and fry in hot oil (375 degrees) until browned. Serve with Zippy cocktail sauce. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
